About This List
New and improved Top 2,000 Tagalog Words flash card set! The new list offers several substantial improvements:
- The list now includes the top 2,000 Tagalog words based on frequency, double the size of the old list!
- We've updated the corpus used for this frequency list to use our database of 100+ hours of transcribed audio content. This provides a much more practical and colloquial vocabulary set to work from. These are the words people use on a day to day basis!
- By popular demand, part of speech info has been added to the cards.
- By popular demand, word roots have been added to the cards.
- By popular demand, cards now include verbs. There are roughly 500 verbs included in this new list.
- Example Sentences are now easily viewable by clicking the "Examples" button on the Tagalog side of the card.
As always, our cards feature:
- Audio clips with every card! The words are recorded only by native Filipino language speakers. This is the only list this size that includes audio for every listing. The entries also include full accent markup so you can study the word stress locations even without audio.
- The 2,000 Words are grouped into smaller sets of 15 - 18 words each to make studying easier.
- The most useful and most frequent words are at the beginning of the list.
