There are adverbs of time that describe the indefinite frequencies and the adverbs of time that describe the definite frequencies (which will be discussed on the next lesson).
Most common examples of the adverbs describing indefinite frequencies are always, often, sometimes, rarely, and never. These adverbs of time answer "how often" questions. Read and recite the equivalent translations of these adverbs below.
The adverb lagi is a variation of the word palagi. These words have the same meaning.
Minsan and pamínsan-minsan, however, do not share the same definition. Native speakers often get these two words mixed because they almost have the same spelling. Remember that "minsan" means "once" or "at one time," while "pamínsan-minsan" means "sometimes." Other variations of "pamínsan-minsan" are "paminsan" and "kung minsan."
From the examples below, see how these adverbs are used in sentences.
