Hi! My name is Gaby and I know very basic tagalog words. Since many people in my family/my church community know tagalog, I would like to learn it so I can hold conversations with them :-)

I am american but was able to move to the Philippines when I was 19 for 2 years. I studied tagalog during my time there. Now that I am back in the states I run the nakakanosebleed podcast where my friends and I have conversations in tagalog so we can keep up on the language. Super happy to have found this resource!

Hello! My name is kkpeney. I am from England and I am a Intermediate Filipino language student.
I am studying the Filipino language because I have grown up there as a child, and have an all Filipino family. I am surrounded by the language, however when I was super young and moved to England, I was "scared" to speak it, but can always understand it. I'm a teenager and that has affected me as I'm not confident in speaking it even to my family and my mind goes blank sometimes because of how I translate things in my mind. My Filipino friends speak Filipino and English but speak English to me. I hope to make some friends here and speak Tagalog more fluently !

Hi everyone! I'm here to connect a little more to my dad's family's heritage. I'm biracial - half Mexicana, half Filipina. I speak Spanish fluently and am significantly more connected to my Mexican roots. But when my dad's parents came to the U.S., they felt such pressure to assimilate that neither my dad nor any of his siblings speak the language. In the free time I have when I'm not teaching Spanish to 8 year-olds, I'm hoping to pick up some Tagalog here and there.
