@MatandangLalaki

I think what the one asking meant was "words with deep/profound meaning".

The better translation of "upang" is "in order to" or "so that". It is a synonym of "para".

Kailangan nating bumili ng tiket upang/para makapasok tayo. = We need to buy a ticket in order for us to enter/so that we can enter.

Ibigay mo ito as kaniya para/upang magamit niya. = Give this to him so that he can use it/(in order) for him to use it.

@Juantutri I thought the same thing too. However, I couldnt for the life of me remember the synonym word for 'para'. I knew there was a deep tagalog equivalent, but I couldnt remember it. Then it hit me when my mom was singing and she said 'upang'. I looked it up to be sure and unfortunately, the definition was 'to'.

The translation of "upang" as "to" is not really wrong, but because "to" can mean a number of things, it is only "upang" if what follows "to" is a rationale for what came before it.

@MatandangLalaki Deep Tagalog is more like archaic Tagalog. Words that dont see alot of use in casual conversation. However, still prevalent in poems, songs, news, official documents, etc

@pear

I don't think "uros-uros" is a Tagalog word, but if you learned it from a truly reliable source then I may be wrong.

Based on -
www.esquiremag.ph/lo ng-reads/features/ol d-tagalog-words-a002 97-20200609
- the following are old Tagalog words that are no longer in use: awon, tungag/tungal, and wingkag. For "wingkag" we now use "tungkab".
