I'm not sure about the tagalog translation but here is a picture. Gross in this sense means big/large. Gross motor skills and fine motor skills. (Not motor/engine related) Fine means small, so like writing your name or wiggling your toes.Motor in this terminology just means "movement'. Skills means it uses your brain. So simply put = Using your brain to make large and small movements with your body. Motor skills are the movements your body makes like moving your fingers and toes, or taking steps and picking up a cup.

This "training' usually happens when you are a young child. You learn how to walk and develop gross motor skills first, then you play with toys and learn how to use your eyes and fingers together in coordination. One example toy is putting the different shaped wooden blocks like squares and circles into holes with the same shape. Some adults or people with brain damage/trauma need to re-train their motor skills as a part of recovery therapy or rehabilitation.

This toy teaches fine motor skills to children. They learn to make small movements with their fingers to turn and rotate the block until it fits inside the hole. They also learn to coordinate their eyes and hands and see how far away objects are (depth perception).

Woooow thank you sooo much, sir @Daoxin 😃✨
So if I'm going to force it to have Tagalog translation, can I use: "Komplikado(complex/complicated)" as "gross" and "Simple(Seem-pleh = simple) as "fine"?
Like for example:
** Komplikadong paggalaw(movement).
** Simpleng paggalaw.
?😮?

I love the images you used, it helped me understand better 😃✨

I'm not sure if that would be accurate or not. For example bending over at the waist is rather simple, but a gross motor skill, rather than fine. Just looking up definitions I think fine= maselang/natatangi and gross=mabigat/matipuno ? I'm not sure if they are common words but the difference in gross and fine motor skills is really just the size of the movements and the size of the muscles used. Small and delicate movements like handwriting are "fine' but complicated. Large and spacious movement like walking or swinging a bat are "gross'.

The gross and fine motor skills are controlled by the cerebellum. Maybe this wikipedia entry can help you see which translations might work.

Maybe it isn't 100% accurate but it might be better to say something like "paggalaw ng kamay' for fine and "paggalaw ng katawan' for gross.

woooow maraming maraming salamat po nang walang tigil sa effort nyo po, sir @Daoxin 😃✨
I think "mabigat na paggalaw/aktibidad" will give "Gross motor skill" an close meaning 😃✨
and "pinong paggalaw" to "fine motor skill"..but I'm still not sure with "pino" 😅
Anyway, once again thank you sooo much, sir @Daoxin 😃✨
