Five menswear designers helped kick off New York Fashion Week on Friday (September 6). Each season New York Men's Day features 10 designers, split up between morning and afternoon sessions. Minnesota based brand Earthling made their NYFW debut with a '70s inspired collection titled "Doves Cry." "We're big on leather, and we're big on, like, warm color palettes. So every color that you see is like the warm version of a color palette, because when you use warm colors, they can all mix and blend together seamlessly, which we are, we're seamless together," said one of the three designers and brand founders, Tracey Millis. The brand trio cited their hometown hero, Prince, as one of their muses. Aaron Potts continued his regular appearance at the show with a collection reminiscent of the beaches in Zanzibar.
